Clemson University has a proud military heritage. There are many plazas, statues, and buildings dedicated to those who graduated from Clemson's military school and served our country in the military

Class of '42 Golden Tigers Cadet Life Garden


Found in the South Carolina Botanical Garden, the Golden Tigers Cadet Life Garden was created in honor of Clemson's military heritage and to those who fought in service of our country.

This statue can be found in front of Mell Hall, across the street from downtown Clemson. It was created by and given in honor to the Class of 1944.

The Military Heritage Plaza


The Military Heritage Plaza was created to honor Clemson University's history as a military institution. It also honors Clemson alumni who served our country in times of war. It was created through the classes of 1950, 1951, 1952, and 1953
The actual Military Heritage Plaza. The Brick Association of the Carolinas awarded Seamon Whiteside & Associates Inc. and Clemson's Campus Planning Services with the 2002 Design with Brick's President's Award for their collaboration in creating the Military Plaza.

The statue overlooking Bowman Field.
A statue that stands in front of Tillman Hall. Behind the statue are two halves of a soldier that serve as a "mold" for this statue. It represents how Clemson molded the young man into a grown man and prepared him to be successful in life.
